ECIS 2005 incorporates a Doctoral Consortium for PhD students studying information systems or related topics. The Consortium will take place from May 23 to 25. Universities belonging to the Association of Information Systems/Region 2 (Europe, Africa, Middle East) may appoint one doctoral student to the Consortium.
Eligibility
The Consortium provides doctoral students of universities in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, currently working on Information Systems dissertation projects, the opportunity to share and develop their research ideas and approaches, to explore issues related to academic and research careers in the Information Systems field, and to build relationships with other IS PhD students from around the world.
Candidates should have completed any (required) course work and have developed a dissertation proposal. The ideal candidate should have started their empirical study and have chosen their theoretical approach, but have at least six months work remaining (at the time of the Consortium) before they expect to complete.
Venue
The Doctoral consortium will take place at the Bavarian Music Academy at Alteglofsheim, only 20 minutes drive from the centre of Regensburg, easily reachable by bus from the main train station. The accommodation expenses at the Academy will be covered by the consortium.
